- National Air Photo Library >> This site is run by the government of Canada. This site archives over six million aerial photographs covering all of Canada, some of which date back to the 1920s.
- National Atlas of Canada >> The National Atlas of Canada web site provides a comprehensive collection of maps and related information about Canada, with effective and intuitive tools for users to access them.
- National Geographic >> National Geographic maps have always been highly regarded.
- Oddens' Bookmarks >> This site has many interesting and informative links for maps and related information.
- Perry-CastaƱeda Library >> This map collection is pretty informative and comprehensive.
- The Perry-Castaneda Directory >> This site has a very large collection of informative links to maps on other web sites.
- Silva Compass >> If you need directional equipment such as a compass, or other navigational equipment, look here for your needs.
- Terra Server USA >> This is an interesting sight. If you want to get a topographical map, or arial photograph of somewhere in the US, this is the place to find it. In some areas of the country you can zoom in for a pretty detailed picture. I found my high school and was able to identify several buildings.
- The Ryhiner Map Collection >>The Ryhiner map collection is one of the most valuable and outstanding collections of the world. It consists of more than 16,000 maps, charts, plans and views from the 16th to the 18th century, covering the whole globe. Together with the 20,000 manuscript maps of the State Archives, the Canton of Berne owns not only a local, but a worldwide geographical memory. It's our duty to preserve this cultural heritage and make it accessible.
- The Library of Congress >> The Geography and Map Division (G&M) has custody of the largest and most comprehensive cartographic collection in the world with collections numbering over 5 million maps, 72,000 atlases, 6,000 reference works, over 500 globes and globe gores, and numerous plastic relief models, and a large number of cartographic materials in other formats, including electronic. The online Map Collections represents only a small fraction that have been converted to digital form. These images were created from maps and atlases and, in general, are restricted to items that are in public domain, meaning those which are not covered by copyright.
